In John 6:27, we are reminded to "labor not for the meat which perisheth, but for the meat which endureth to everlasting life, which the Son of Man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed." People, including Christians, are working (laboring) for many things. In fact, our coutry is about to celebrate Labor Day. Some labor to provide nice things for their families. Others labor for prestige or recognition. While these could be noble in some regards, let us be reminded to labor for that meat that endures to everlasting life. One author described it as laboring with eternity in view.
